TOURNAMENT RULES

BASIC RULES:-

  1. All the players are expected to be wearing Sports Shoes, Trackpants and their respective Team Jerseys before entering the Turf.
  2. A total of 13 teams will battle it out, for the coveted APL Trophy.
  3. Each team shall comprise of 12 players, in their squad.
  4. Each match will be of 6 overs per innings.
  5. A new ball will be given for each innings.
  6. Each turf shall have 2 neutral umpires & a scorer to ensure fair game play.
  7. Each team will play 4 league matches to qualify for the Eliminator Stage.
  8. The winner team be awarded +2 points on winning a match.
  9. In case of a tie, 1 point will be given to each team in League stages. In case of KnockOut Games, Super Over will be played until a winning team is decided. During the Super Over, the chasing team will have to bat first.
  10. In case of two teams with equal points at the end of the League Stage, Qualification will be decided on the basis of Nett Run Rate or NRR.
  11. Modes of Dismissal – Bowled, Caught, Stumped, Run Out, Hit-Wicket, Handling the Ball and Obstructing the field.

BATTING RULES:-

  1. The top 3 batters should be new in every Innings (League matches only) or else 5 penalty runs will be awarded to the Batting Team.
  2. 1 out of the Top 6 batters must compulsorily be a woman.
  3. Each run scored by a woman batter will be multiplied by 2.
  4. For women batters, HIT WICKET will be considered as NOT OUT.
  5. Ball hitting the Top (Roof) of the Turf will be considered NOT OUT.
  6. Ball hitting the Top (Roof) of the Turf and then catch taken, will be considered OUT.
  7. Ball hitting the Top (Roof) of the Turf and then crossing the Boundary, will award FOUR Runs to the batting team.
  8. A Full Toss Ball above Waist Height will be considered as No Ball and the decision of the Leg Umpire shall be considered final in this regards.
  9. No Ball based on Height will NOT be considered as a No Ball, if the batter is completely outside the batting crease.
  10. If a Full Toss Ball above waist height strikes the stump directly, the batter will be considered OUT.
  11. A Free Hit will be awarded to the batting team after every No Ball is bowled.
  12. A RUN OUT on a FREE HIT, will be considered as OUT.
  13. A RUN OUT on a NO BALL, will be considered as OUT and Ball WILL NOT be counted.
  14. Stumping during Wide Ball is OUT and the Ball WILL be counted.
  15. Stumping during a NO BALL is NOT OUT and Ball WILL NOT be counted.
  16. Only in case of a genuine injury, a runner will be allowed on discretion of the organising team.
  17. Last Man is NOT allowed.

BOWLING RULES:-

  1. Only Underarm bowling is permitted.
  2. Each bowler will be allowed to bowl only ONE over in an innings.
  3. If the foot touches any side of the box or completely crosses the popping crease, it will be declared as NO BALL.
  4. While bowling if the hand touches the stumps it will be declared as NO BALL.
  5. All types of Side Arm Action will be NO BALL.
  6. Objection of FAST BOWLING can be appealed ONLY BY THE BATTER and decided ONLY BY THE UMPIRE. If the UMPIRE agrees, then such a FAST BALL will be considered as DEAD BALL. 
  7. Bowler failing to declare his Bowling Guard i.e. the SIDE from which he will be bowling to Umpire at the beginning of every over will be declared as NO BALL.
  8. TWO or more bounced ball will be declared as NO BALL but if the 2nd bounce is behind and after the batsman has attempted the shot, then it will NOT be declared as a NO BALL.
  9. ONE out of the six overs in an Innings, must be bowled by a woman bowler.
  10. A NO BALL or a WIDE BALL by a woman bowler will be considered as a DEAD BALL and will have to be bowled again.
  11. A ball bowled by a woman bowler if bounced ONCE OR TWICE, it will be considered a LEGITIMATE delivery.
  12. THREE or more bounced ball if bowled by a woman bowler, it will be considered as DEAD BALL.
  13. A wide NO BALL, will be counted as NO BALL.
FIELDING RULES:-
  1. Byes, Leg-Byes and Over Throws are allowed.
  2. Having a Wicket Keeper is compulsory.
  3. Collecting the ball by the wicket keeper before ball crosses the line of the stumps, will be declared as NO BALL.
  4. A Maximum of 6 Players are allowed behind the stumps line excluding the bowler. Only 4 players on the boundary line.
  5. If the ball gets stuck anywhere inside the net or goes outside the turf before crossing the boundary line, it will be declared as ONE RUN and batter will change the strike.

IMPORTANT NOTE :-

  1. UMPIRES DECISION WILL BE CONSIDERED FINAL AND BINDING ON ALL.
  2. Any Argument with the umpires or with the managing team or misbehaviour or use of foul language on the field or outside the field is strictly prohibited. Strict actions will be taken.
  3. The above rules may be changed before or after the League Matches, subject to final decision by the organising team.
  4. The organising team will not be responsible for any physical injury, loss of valuables or any other damage to the property during the course of the tournament.
  5. To ensure a fair game play MOM, MOS, Best Batter, Best Fielder, Best Bowler & NRR will be decided in an unbiased way, as per the data on Cric Heroes App. In case of any ambiguity, the decision of the organizing team will be final.

SOP for qualification to Eliminator stage

For Teams:-


1. Team Movement & Kiosk Visits
· Each team is required to visit every designated brand kiosk during first half of the day, before 2 pm.
2. Brand Presentation/Product Demo
At each kiosk, teams must attend and listen to a short presentation/product demonstration
· by the respective brand representative/s.
· Active attention and respectful participation are expected.
3. Avyukta Coin Allocation
· Upon successful completion of the presentation at each kiosk, the brand representative will hand over one Avyukta Coin to the team, with their team logo on one side and the brand’s logo on the other side.
· Coins will be issued only after the presentation/demo is attended in full strength.
4. Coin Collection & Submission
· Teams must collect Avyukta Coins from all participating brand kiosks.
· After completing each kiosk visits, the collected coins must be submitted to Mr. Atul Jain for verification and submission, within the designated time frame announced by the organizers.
5. Compliance & Elimination Rule
· Collection of all Avyukta Coins for your team from all brands is mandatory.
· Any team that fails to collect or submit all required coins will be disqualified from entering the Eliminator stage of the tournament, should they qualify for the same.
6. Organiser’s Authority
· The decision of the Avyukta organizing committee and Mr. Atul Jain will be final and binding in all matters related to this activity.

For participating Brands:-

7. Presentation Duration
· Each brand presentation or product demonstration must be limited to a maximum of 2-3 minutes.
· The content should be clear, precise, and strictly to the point.
8. Presentation Conduct
· Only key highlights and essential information are to be shared.
· Extended explanations, detailed discussions, or deviations from the core message are to be avoided.
9. Team Presence
· The brand kiosk representative must ensure that the entire team is present in full capacity during the interaction.
10. Team Coin Handover
· The brand kiosk representative is responsible for handing over the official Avyukta Coin, bearing the respective team logo and their brand logo on the other side, to the team at the designated time.
